World Champion Yo-Yo Artist Performing near Hamden Apartments


Yo Yo Show near Hamden ApartmentsAs a kid, were you a yo-yo whiz that could Rock the Baby, Walk the Dog and more? This Saturday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m., see world champion yo-yo artist, John Higby, showcase these classic yo-yo tricks and more at Thornton Wilder Hall near Hamden apartments.

As a part of Hamden Arts, Recreation and Culture Department’s Saturday afternoon family entertainment series, John Higby will light up the stage as he showcases his deft skill, high energy and great humor.

John Higby was recognized as a world champion when he won first place at the world yo-yo contest at Universal Studios in Florida in 2008. He is also holds four Guinness World Records including his most recent accomplished in October 2013 when he knocked 14 coins off participant’s ears in 60 seconds using two yo-yos.
