What’s Happening in Connecticut?

By

connecticut snow stormWe’re happy to report that Connecticut is finally experiencing a reprieve from the onslaught of snowstorms. During the last few days, the sun was brightly shining and some of the huge mountains of snow slowly began to melt. It is with a sense of relief that we are finally returning to our normal lifestyles. Other than the many daily tasks we all perform such as getting ourselves to work, marketing, banking and running errands, we all need a quicker picker upper in the form of entertainment in one form or another.

If you happen to live in Hamden, CT apartments or in one of our convenient Branford, CT apartments, you are only a stone’s throw from some of the happenings around the New Haven and Hartford County areas. You can catch Shrek the Musical being presented at The Bushnell in Hartford which is Connecticut’s premier performing arts center. Shrek runs from February 15th through the 20th, and tickets can be obtained through Bushnell.org . If you do happen to be a theater fan, you can also enjoy the many 2011 presentations offered by the Hartt School of Music Theatre Division in Hartford.

If you have tots and are interested in a unique intro to musical expression and creative movement, something to research is the First Steps in Music program offered by Hartt School’s Community Division. We live in an amazing world now that offers, encourages and inspires children in every age bracket from birth through toddler and pre-school to explore the concepts of sound, instrumentation, finger play, rhythm and vocal patterns. Check out their website and learn more about the program and its list of promotional items and discounts. http://hed.hartford.edu/music/first_steps.htm.
