  1. Giant Balloon Inflation Party: Want to know what goes on behind the scenes before the UBS Parade? This party, presented by Point72 Asset Management, features music, holiday characters, extreme pogo performances and more and is coming up this Saturday, Nov. 22 from 3-6 p.m. The best part? It’s within walking distance from our Stamford apartments at Hoyt Bedford.
  2. UBS Parade Spectacular: More than 20 giant balloon characters will fill the skies of Stamford this Sunday, Nov. 23 beginning at noon. There will be marching bands, street performances by award-winning dance groups, extravagant floats and a perhaps even a visit from Santa himself!
  3. Heights and Lights: Speaking of Santa,if you haven’t watched him repel twenty stories down from Landmark Square, then you’re in for a real treat! Heights and Lights will take place Sunday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. and will include the annual lighting of the holiday tree.
  4. Watch The Nutcracker at The Palace Theater: Catch one of the four performances by the outstanding cast of the Connecticut Ballet, scheduled for Dec. 20-21 at the historic Palace. Rest assured, the restored theater (which originally opened in 1927) still lives up to its long-standing reputation as “Connecticut’s Most Magnificent.”
  5. Warm up with a meal at Madonia: If an evening of upscale dining and wine tasting sounds like your idea of a treat this Thanksgiving, you’ve come to the right place. The modern Mediterranean restaurant will be preparing delectable dishes that include butternut squash soup, traditional all-natural roasted turkey with traditional pan drippings, roasted king salmon, Maine lobster risotto, filet mignon, and veal parmigiana.   8. Check out LEGO creations at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center: This new exhibit will take you back to childhood and will be a delightful place to play for the day, no matter what your age. “A Billion Bricks” will open on Nov. 22 and will encompass 1,500 square feet of space in the gallery.
  9. Make a difference for neighbors in need.
