Tips for Getting the Best Deals on Black Friday

Black Friday Shopping Tips

Those who go Black Friday shopping go because they are looking to get the most bang for their buck. However, there are some rules that some shoppers do not know, and this can prevent them from getting the best deal available for the products they have had their eye on all year long. To help, we have compiled a list of some tips so you can be sure to get the best deal out there this Black Friday.

  • Price Matching
Most big named retailers will price match. This means if they have the same product as another store but their product is more expensive, then you can show them their competitor’s ad and they will give you that product for the cheaper price. This is a good rule to remember because you may not want to have to go to another store to get the product for cheaper, especially if that store is not close to you and you want to avoid all the Black Friday traffic. Remember though, bring the ad for proof or you may not get the discounted price.

  • Special Orders
If one of the products on your list is a hot list item for Black Friday, don’t worry. Some stores, depending on the product, will special order it at a discount for you if the product runs out. However, they may not do this for items such as televisions or other big electronics.
  • Watch for the Early Sales
Most stores these days are starting Black Friday super early. Kohl’s Black Friday starts Monday, Nov. 23 online. If you are not a crowd person, check to see if the store you need something from is starting their Black Friday early or if you can get the same deals on their website.
  • Store-wide Sales
Don’t like looking for the sales? Some stores have store-wide sales of 50 percent off. This means mostly everything in the store will be discounted, except for a few exclusions. This makes it easy for the person that does not know where to look for the sale, or does not want to push through the crowd to get the deal.
