Summer Concert Series in Downtown Stamford

By

There is something about summertime that makes me think of concerts. Concerts and the park. For whatever reason, it seems that people just gravitate toward outdoor venues as soon as summer turns the corner. You might think that the heat would keep people inside, but even that doesn’t seem to be a deterrent. Maybe it comes from childhood memories of spending the summers enjoying the sun. The reason for enjoying summer doesn’t matter, rather finding a fun activity is important.

Enter Stamford Alive at 5. This concert series is the perfect event to enjoy the summer. Running from June 25th to August 6th, Stamford Alive at 5 presents various musical guests ranging from national to regional headliners. The series is located in Columbus Park where musical acts will perform on the Heineken Stage produced by the Stamford Downtown Special Services District and the City of Stamford. The concert is a great place for families and the after work crowd to gather and enjoy great music, great dancing and great fun!

Kicking off the even on June 25th are Smash Mouth, Mystic Bowie, and Jeff Tuohy and the Bush League Band. All the bands have a different sound, so there is something for everyone to enjoy. For instance, if a 60’s influenced garage band is right up your alley, then be sure ti check out Smash Mouth. It is important to note that anyone under the age of 21 cannot enter the concert (main entrance located on Main Street) after 6:30 pm. However, anyone under 21 already in the concert area before 6:30 is welcomed to stay.

If you can’t make the June 25th show, you’ve got plenty of weekends to go another. Of course anyone living in downtown Stamford Conneticut apartments is especially lucky because the prime location of the concert makes it easy to check out the shows every weekend, even for just a little while. Specifically,  Hoyt Bedford Apartments are excellent apartments in Stamford where you can easily get to the Stamford Alive at 5 concert series.
