Stamford Apartment Residents Touch-A-Truck and Taste Some Chili THIS Weekend

Touch a Truck near Stamford ApartmentsTouch-A-Truck is back at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center (SM&NC) this Sunday, Nov. 3, but new this year; visitors will have the opportunity to taste some of the best chili in Stamford. Stamford’s Annual Charity Chili Cook-Off will be hosted at the SM&NC this year with proceeds benefitting SM&NC and The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. With both the Chili Cook-Off and Touch-A-Truck hosted on the same day at SM&NC, Sunday is a great time for residents of Stamford apartments to enjoy a day with family and friends.

From finding out how these vehicles work to actually sitting inside a few, Touch-A-Truck is a unique opportunity for children or adults to experience larger-than-life-vehicles. Touch-A-Truck is FREE with SM&NC admission.

For a suggested donation of $10 or bag of non-perishable food items with $5, individuals will have the opportunity to taste each Cook-Off competitor’s chili and vote for their favorite. Highlights of this year’s Chili Cook-Off include Chef Hunter Zampa, who competed on Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off. He will be at the event cooking his “famous” venison chili. Another fierce competitor is Cook-Off veteran, Joey Kuntz, who likes to add a twist to his traditional chili recipe.

Touch-A-Truck and Stamford’s Annual Charity Chili Cook-Off will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission to SM&NC is free for members and for non-members is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for students 18 or older with valid id, $5 for children ages four to 17 and FREE for children ages three and under.
