Norwalk Residents Get into the Spirit at A Haunting at Mill Hill


Haunting at Mill Hill near Connecticut ApartmentsEver wondered what spirits lurk in the shadows of historic Mill Hill graveyard? This weekend, residents of Norwalk apartments at Morningside Gardens are invited to hear the stories murder, death and destruction that sent these spirits to the grave. During A Haunting at Mill Hill, you may even meet a spirit or two along the way.

Stories you will hear during this lantern lit tour include the story of Margaret Gale, the wife of an organ grinder who suffered an untimely death along a deserted Norwalk road. You will also meet Anna Howard, the spirit that roams the Norwalk River, as well as many other colorful characters from Norwalk’s past.

Although the tour does feature ghost stories, it is not too spooky and is suitable for individuals ages eight and older. Tours will be held this Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26 at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. Refreshments will be provided after each tour. Tickets are $14 for individuals 13 and older and $9.00 for children ages eight to 12.

Tour goers will meet at Mill Hill Historic Park at 2 East Wall Street. Net proceeds from A Haunting at Mill Hill will benefit the Norwalk Historical Society’s education and cultural programs. For more information on A Haunting at Mill Hill, visit www.norwalkhistoricalsociety.org.
