The Shubert Theater in New Haven continues to provide great entertainment for residents of our Seramonte Hamden rental apartments. Whether you are looking for comedy or are more musical-ly inclined, the Shubert has something for you in March.

This Saturday, March 3 at 8 p.m. is “An Evening of Comedy and Hope to Benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.” The benefit concert presentation features the comedy of Kenny “Z”imlinghaus, who can be heard on the daily morning show “Cosmo Radio” on SIRIUSXM. He has travelled all over the country and his act never disappoints. Tickets are still available, ranging from $28 to $43 a seat, and VIP reception tickets are available for premium orchestra level seating and entry into reception which includes food, drinks and amazing auction items.

The following weekend, you can catch the new production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific.” This musical is set in a tropical island during World War II, and tells a romantic story of two couples whose happiness was threatened by the realities of war. The production is based on the 2008 Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center production of James Mitchener’s book, “Tales of the South Pacific.”  This is considered by many to be the finest musical ever written complete with classic songs such as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “I’m Gonna Wash that Man Right Outa My Hair,” “Younger Than Springtime,” “Bali Ha’I,” “There is Nothin’ Like A Dame” and more. Tickets are available for March 8 through 11, and range from $15 to $78.
