Go Wild at Family Fun Night at Stepping Stones Museum in Norwalk


Where the Wild Things Are- Stepping StonesOn Friday, Nov. 14, Stepping Stones Museum for Children is inviting residents of Norwalk to enjoy its Storybook Pajama Party and an exciting reading of the award-winning children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are. Children and parents alike are encouraged to step into their coziest bedtime threads and participate in an evening of reading, exploration, hands-on crafts and a visit from a life-sized storybook character.

The Pajama Party/Family Fun Night will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m., with three reading times available for your convenience. Members of Stepping Stones Museum can purchase tickets at $10 each, while non-members can take part in the fun for $15 per ticket.* Children under the age of one are FREE!

Bring your children to find a cozy seat on the carpet and watch as the staff at Stepping Stones brings this beloved children’s story to life, reading the tale in front of a large screen for a close up view of its colorful illustrations. This iconic book has inspired both a movie and opera, in addition to capturing the imaginations of families across the globe.

Following the reading, there will be a musical parade to delight audiences, craft activities and of course, a variety of exhibits to explore throughout the museum! Don’t forget to stop by Conservation Quest, an exhibit all about energy and healthy choices, as well as Making Space, where children can experiment, discover, draw and play with many materials to design their own invention.
