Located less than 30 minutes from Hamden apartments at Seramonte, Lyman Orchards is a great way to spend a day outdoors enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Lyman’s new Statue of Liberty corn maze is a four-acre maze that offers two miles of pathways. The challenging design provides lots of fun for families, friends and groups as they find their way to freedom. In addition to the corn maze, visitors will enjoy fun trivia questions, pony rides, horse drawn wagon rides and much more.

The 2013 corn maze at Lyman Orchards is open Wednesday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets for this year’s corn maze are FREE for children ages three and under, $5 for children ages four to 12 and $10 for individuals ages 13 and older. $1 from every ticket sold will benefit the American Cancer Society.

After you find your way through the corn maze, head over to the orchard and pick your own snack. Currently in season are apples and pumpkins, perfect for pies or carving the perfect Jack-o-lantern.
