By

4th of July FireworksIf you’re still not sure what to do this Fourth of July, there are plenty of opportunities near each of our apartment communities for you and the whole family to celebrate America’s Independence. So grab your family and friends, and join the party at one of the many exciting events happening in the Connecticut area.

If you’re a resident of our Montoya Apartments, the town of Branford will be celebrating America’s birthday on June 27. A free fireworks display will be shown from Branford Point at Parker Park and can also be seen from Foote Memorial Park. The following evening, join the Bridgeport Bluefish baseball team at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard as they light up the sky after the game at 6:05 p.m.

Residents of our Seramonte community can enjoy nearby Naugatuck’s July 3 activities. This year’s festivities include entertainment, food, family fun and, of course, fireworks all beginning at 6 p.m. on Old Firehouse Road. Then, the Great American Boom of New Britain is on July 5 and will have a variety of activities and entertainment including music, giant trampolines, pony rides, carnival games and the largest array of food vendors in the history of the event. The Boom starts at 5 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m., so make sure to get there early to experience everything this exciting event has to offer.

On June 29, head over to Seaside Park in Bridgeport, just a short drive from our Morningside Gardens Apartments in Norwalk. The Barnum Festival is sure to be a good time with food, drinks, DJ and a fireworks display at 9 p.m. As part of its Summer Concert Series, the City of Norwalk will have fireworks and fun for all ages on July 5. The Amazing Andy Show will kick things off at 5:30 p.m. on Calf Pasture Beach while DJ Nuzzo gets everyone dancing on nearby Shady Beach. The entertainment continues after the fireworks display with Jimmy and The Parrots, who will be playing all of Jimmy Buffet’s greatest hits.

The celebrations continue near our Stamford area apartments with the city’s annual Independence Day fireworks show on July 2. Held at Cummins Park, the event is free and entertainment will be provided by DJ More than Music beginning at 6 p.m. On July 5, the town of Wilton will have an entire day of Fourth of July fun. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. with a road race, the festivities will go all day with events such as a friendly softball game between Democrats and Republicans, live music from local bands, fireworks and so much more.

No matter where you decide to spend your Fourth of July, CTBest has an apartment community within arm’s reach of all the action. Be sure to check out this list from Kids Out and About to find even more fireworks and fun.
