Jupiter Astronomy Night near Stamford ApartmentsLooking for fun that is out of this world? The Stamford Museum & Nature Center offers astronomy programs that are perfect for kicking off the weekend. On select Friday nights, guests of the museum are invited to explore the night sky, planets, stars and more.

On Friday, Jan. 24, the museum will have a presentation about the largest planet in our solar system, Jupiter! How long does it take Jupiter to complete an orbit around the sun? How many moons does Jupiter have? Find out the answers to these questions and more at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s presentation.

After the presentation, guests can experience the night sky like never before and take a look through the museum’s 22-inch telescope that is sure to impress. The presentation will take place rain or shine, but the telescope viewing will be based on weather conditions.

Everyone over the age of five is invited to experience this epic presentation.  The presentation on Jupiter begins at 7 p.m. Adult tickets are $3, tickets for children ages 5-17 are $2 and members of the Stamford Museum & Nature Center get free admission.
