Enjoy a Hoot of a Good Time at Fall Pellets & Prowl

Outdoor Adventures near Stamford apartmentsResidents of downtown Stamford apartments are invited to join the Stamford Museum & Nature Center (SM&NC) for its Outdoor Adventures: Fall Pellets & Prowl program this Friday, Nov. 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Featuring our favorite feathered nocturnal friends, the owls, this program will be a hoot for all who attend.

During the hour-and-a-half program, attendees will learn more about an owl’s role in the food chain with participants dissecting an owl pellet. After the educational session, participants will held out into the woods to call for our local owl species.

This program is designed for individuals ages six and older. With temperatures dropping, don’t forget to wear warm outerwear and tennis shoes. Admission to Outdoor Adventures: Fall Pellets & Prowl is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. All programs meet at the Overbrook Nature Center.  Space is limited for the Outdoor Adventures programs, so make sure to call 203-911-6521 to register.

In addition to the Outdoor Adventures program, SM&NC offers a wide-variety of events including observatory nights, astronomy nights, Sunday explorers, special holiday events and more. Visitors will also enjoy the animals at Heckscher Farm, the latest exhibition in the Bendel Mansion Museum Galleries and more than 80-acres of nature trails.
