Easy Halloween Costume Ideas for the Last Minute

By

Easy Halloween Costume Ideas for the Last MinuteEvery Halloween you tell yourself the same thing; you’re going to plan out your costume in advance, get really crafty and blow everyone away with your creativity. But, inevitably, you get caught up watching too many scary movies and eating too much candy and you forget that you’re supposed to go to your friend’s Halloween party in just a few hours.

Thankfully, you don’t have to spend a lot of time (or money) to have a frightfully awesome costume. These last-minute costume ideas are exactly what you need to have your best Halloween yet:

Party Animals
Just a quick trip to the party supply store and you’ve got this costume covered. Grab some animal ears of your choosing, face paint for whiskers, streamers, noise makers and whatever else you need to get the party started. This also makes for a great group costume idea.

Pajama Party
If you really waited until the last minute to get your costume ready, you can always just go in your pajamas. Slippers and an eye mask pull this look together, and messy hair makes it even more authentic for that “just rolled out of bed” look.

The Identity Thief
“Hello, my name is…” whoever you want to be with this costume. Put those familiar stickers all over yourself with different names on each one to become the identity thief. Just don’t forget your own name by the end of the night!

Tacky Tourists
Another good group costume is a bunch of tacky tourists. We’re talking fanny packs, socks with sandals, binoculars, Hawaiian-themed shirts and sunscreen on the nose. Your group can even go the extra step and craft a cardboard tour bus and “hire” a tour guide to take you through the party or out trick or treating.

The Throwback
Kick it old school with this costume idea. Dress as someone (famous or otherwise) from your favorite era or decade for a fun and easily recognizable outfit. Some of our favorites are the 1980s, the 1950s, the 1920s and the Victorian Era.

A Mummy
This is arguably one of the easiest costumes around, and you’ve probably got everything you need right at home. Just throw on some toilet paper and you’ve got this costume under wraps.
