Norwalk CT Apartments just minutes from Lockwood Mathews Mansion

Get ready to save at the Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum near our Norwalk CT Apartments

It’s almost September and the residents of our Morningside Gardens Norwalk CT apartments in Norwalk know what that means… it’s tag sale season! Norwalk hosts more tag sales in September than any other month. One of the local favorites is happening on Sunday, September 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. when the park surrounding the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum at 295 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT will be overflowing with a wide variety of new and used merchandise during the museum’s Fifth Annual Old Fashioned Flea Market.

Vendors will be there offering everything from vintage to contemporary fashion, rare and one-of-a-kind objects and everyday household items. A concert will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the South Lawn and feature the Bob Lasprogato Dixieland Band. Admission to the Flea Market is free (I love “free”, don’t you?). Museum docents will be available inside the Mansion to give half price, five dollar mini tours to those shoppers interested in visiting and supporting this National Historic Landmark. The museum’s Gift Shop will be open during the event and feature jewelry, gift baskets, Depression glass and a wide variety of books pertaining to the Civil War, Victorian era art and architecture, local history and more. All proceeds will benefit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum. There are even vendor spaces still available, too. Each space measures 10 by 16 feet and costs $65 per site. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please contact Brian Fischer, Facilities Coordinator, at 203-838-9799 extension 117. Read More→
