Nice and cool at our Stamford apartments Connecticut

You won't suffer from heat at our Stamford apartments Connecticut!

Living in our downtown Stamford apartments Connecticut, our residents have any number of options for keeping cool on these hot, hot summer days. Assuming you don’t want to stay indoors and miss all the fun this season, here are a few ideas for keeping your cool.

You already know that we should avoid running our major appliances during the main part of the day (9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) and that alone will help keep you home cooler. Lower your window blinds on the sunny side of your home to block direct sunlight from heating your apartment all day. Also, it is more efficient to leave your air conditioner off while you are at work rather than leave it on low all day while you are away. It should only take a few minutes after you turn it on to start cooling the air in your home down.

But what about when you are out and about running errands or going out with friends?  Dressing in light, looser clothing, wearing a hat and sunglasses and remembering to take a bottle of water with you are standard. But did you know that using mint-scented body scrubs and moisturizer will help you feel cooler?  The mint refreshes the skin and gives you a nice cooling sensation. Also don’t eat, just graze – smaller more frequent meals help you feel cooler than the larger ones we all get used to in winter. Read More→
