Albertus Magnus students ready for the business world

Albertus Magnus has programs specifically for business-minded students.

At our Hamden rental apartments at Seramonte, you’re only 3.5 miles from Albertus Magnus College, where you can stretch your mind, find your strengths and follow your dreams. It’s a learning environment that encourages students to enhance their college experience by becoming engaged in the community. Even though there are currently nearly 20,000 students enrolled in its programs, Albertus Magnus College keeps classrooms small and offers one-on-one attention by faculty members who are known as experts in their fields.

In addition to its undergraduate, graduate and adult accelerated degrees, Albertus Magnus offers The School of New Dimensions. The objective of the School of New Dimensions is to prepare students to assume significant roles in business and their careers. Through the use of academically qualified business professionals, the school strives to provide the most up-to-date and practical business and management education possible. These career-oriented courses integrate theory and practice in a meaningful way. The program is open to both traditional students and business adults, who work in teams to solve management issues as well as face ethical quandaries in simulations pulled from real-world cases. For those that cannot physically attend the small, 16-22 student classes, there are also online options. Read More→

Those who live in our Branford apartment rentals at Montoya enjoy the best in life in this wonderfully quaint coastal New England town! Branford isn’t limited to the New England coastal lifestyle, though, and has lots to offer to those who enjoy the quiet life or want to stay in town; especially with its numerous excellent dining options in Branford.

In our town there are 11 Zagat-rated restaurants. Ethnic cuisine and fresh seafood are just a few of the options diners have when they are looking for quality meals in Branford. Le Petit Cafe, located on 225 Montowese Street, was named one of the top 30 restaurants in America by Zagat, with a near perfect food score of 29 out of 30. It serves a menu which changes weekly to make sure only to use freshest ingredients.

There are plenty of other, non-Zagat rated, dining options, including Japanese, Indian and Thai. Branford restaurants offer a wide range of prices and dining experience from casual to fine dining. During the summer, there are numerous beach restaurants that have outside seating, which allows diners to have a quality meal while they enjoy the fresh beach air. Read More→

The Ferguson Library is close to our Stamford rental apartments

The Ferguson Library provides Branford residents with warmth and fun.

While our weather here at Stamford rental apartments has been mild so far, there’s still three months of winter left. Since we believe in being prepared, we have scoped out a couple of local places of interest that are only a couple of blocks from our Hoyt-Bedford, Morgan Manor and Townhouse apartments where you can go to spend some quality time when the snow is thick.

If you haven’t already stopped by, then you really should check out the Ferguson Library, located on the corner of Bedford and Broad streets. Since it first opened its doors more than 100 years ago at the end of the 19th century, The Ferguson Library has been the heart of the Stamford community. It is a place of learning and education as well as a gathering place where people can meet and exchange ideas. For some of us, it’s even a place to just come in out of the cold, grab a Starbucks latte and catch up on the news of the day. The Ferguson has really kept up-to-date in its services and remains a vital and cutting edge resource for the whole city with a wide selection of titles, exciting events and even e-reader assistance.

For kids, there are services like story hours, crafts and movies. Children in grades two through five can attend a Saturday morning chess club. They can learn the moves in just two classes; and while it’s open to all children, preference will be given to Stamford residents. Space is limited so you’ll have to call ahead to register at 203 351-8242. Read More→
