You might want to consider heading over to the 74th annual Memorial Day Parade in Hamden, CT. The parade will feature several local organizations as well as members of our armed services and is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Hamden High School and will continue north along Dixwell Avenue to the Memorial Town Hall.  Following the parade there will be a wreath ceremony in front of Hamden Middle School at the Veterans Memorial.

Looking for something to do after work on Thursdays this summer? Well look no further as the Alive @ Five Concert series will be returning to Columbus Park in Downtown Stamford on Thursday June 24.

Several amazing acts will take the stage every Thursday at 5 p.m.,  including the Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, Beach Boys, Seven Mary Three, Rusted Root, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Uncle Kracker.

Some fantastic locals bands are also hoping to play at Alive @ Five as well. These bands will battle it out for a covered opening spot in the semi-finals of the Battle of the Bands this June. The semi-finals are taking place at The Bedford Street Promenade on June 12, 19, & 26. Bedford Street will be closed on these afternoons as restaurants extend their patios off the sidewalk and street performers & bands entertain the crowds.
