Almost time to enjoy Horsin’ Around for Stamford rental apartments!
Posted by: | CommentsOur Stamford rental apartment communities are not new to downtown Stamford – in fact they’ve led the pack in downtown living for the last fifty years or so! But where today it’s easy to find slender, glass towers or brushed steel factory loft units, you’ll find there’s a growing appreciation for things like our bricked walkways curving under mature shade trees past professionally landscaped flower beds or the tastefully designed Asian water garden. Georgian brick architecture, balconies and terraces big enough to fit more than a flower pot and decorator touches like brass trim, deeply carpeted lobbies with marble halls have welcomed generations of our residents home. Continue Good Recycling Habits Year Round at our Norwalk Apartments
Posted by: | CommentsLast month we enjoyed Earth Day, and at our Norwalk apartments we don’t limit being environmentally conscious to just one holiday. For many of us, repurposing and recycling have become second nature as ideas about green living move into the mainstream. Residents of Morningside Gardens in Norwalk have long been practicing good recycling habits. Even so we all probably throw away more than we should.
Earth911.org is a great resource for finding ways to recycle more. For instance polystyrene (Styrofoam) isn’t picked up by curbside services, but there are other uses you can find for it, or else a place near you that will recycle it. You can also find places to recycle broken or old electronics, eye glass frames, cell phones, toner cartridges, appliances or junked cars. All of these are items that have a future for someone else, so you can recycle them or you can search for charities and drives in your area that are looking for these items. Read More→

The Cherry Blossom Festival promises to be a gorgeous event for residents of our Stamford luxury apartments to enjoy
As all of our Stamford luxury apartments are set perfectly in the downtown Stamford area within walking distance of all the great events going on there, it’s no surprise that there’s another fun one this weekend! On this Saturday, May 5 there will be an extravaganza at the new Mill River Park. This park is just a short walk away from our apartment communities of Morgan Manor, Hoyt-Bedford and The Townhouse, so you won’t have to worry about where to park.
The Cherry Blossom Festival will be both a celebration of spring and of the gift of a series of cherry trees from former Stamford resident Junzo Nojima. Nojima gave the city 120 Japanese cherry trees to as a thank you gift for accepting him into the community in 1957. The festival will have a huge number of events, including Karate & Taiko Masala (bamboo swords) performances, traditional tea ceremonies and even take part in kimono dressing with a photo booth to capture the moment. Young & old alike can try their hand at origami (Japanese paper folding), kirigami (Japanese paper cutting) or sumie (black ink painting). Stamford’s Japanese-owned restaurant Kujaku will be offering samples of their delicious food. Read More→

A drawing of Mill River Park, where the upcoming "Rockin' on the River" event will be a great way to enjoy outdoor music
Walking through the Hoyt-Bedford Stamford apartment rentals parking lot this morning, the mild weather and sunny skies put me in mind of the coming spring & summer weather. Then I immediately started thinking about all the great things to do and places to go in Downtown Stamford!
One of the signature events every year is the annual “Alive @ Five” concert series. It’s held in Columbus Park, which is a short stroll from any of our Stamford Apartments, and gives residents and their friends a chance to hear local bands and some headline acts as well. We’ve seen performances by Southside Johnny, Boys 2 Men, M-C Hammer and The B-52’s! This year, the concerts are on Thursdays. You can catch the first one on June 21 and the last for this year will be on August 2. Read More→
