Outdoor art coming soon to Stamford rental apartments

Its almost time to enjoy a season of wonderful outdoor art around our Stamford rental apartments!

Our Stamford rental apartment communities are not new to downtown Stamford – in fact they’ve led the pack in downtown living for the last fifty years or so! But where today it’s easy to find slender, glass towers or brushed steel factory loft units, you’ll find there’s a growing appreciation for things like our bricked walkways curving under mature shade trees past professionally landscaped flower beds or the tastefully designed Asian water garden. Georgian brick architecture, balconies and terraces big enough to fit more than a flower pot and decorator touches like brass trim, deeply carpeted lobbies with marble halls have welcomed generations of our residents home.

Now, when residents choose to take a stroll outside the peaceful communities of Hoyt-Bedford or Morgan Manor, they can expand their walks to include some nearby neighborhoods and enjoy the latest art installations for free out along the sidewalks of downtown Stamford. The Art in Public Places program provides residents and guests a chance to enjoy and expand their appreciation of art. In addition, each year Stamford Downtown hosts a distinguished outdoor sculpture exhibit designed to attract local and regional audiences.

Stamford Downtown is proud to announce that they have commissioned pop artist Charles Fazzino to create the logo and visual identity for this Summer’s art exhibit, Horsin’ Around Stamford Downtown. Not only will Fazzino create the event logo and serve on the board of jurors, but he will also contribute his own talents to painting one of the larger‐than‐life‐sized horse sculptures that will be placed all around Stamford, with the grand opening of the exhibit on June 12. The exhibition will continue through August after which the sculptures will be sold at auction with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Ferguson Library.
